Old Vine Barossa Grenache

Welcome to Vinya Vella.

Vinya Vella means "old vineyard" in Catalan, which is a homage to the old Grenache vines of Spain where I (Dylan Grigg) worked and lived with my family, cementing a love of the variety.

Vinya Vella is also the name of our families tiny 6 hectare vineyard in Barossa's Vine Vale subregion, planted exclusively to Grenache with vines both young and very old (~100 years). It is here, in the Barossa Valley where I humbly started my viticultural career and now put into practice a PhD in old vines, nurturing the land and vines that make Vinya Vella.

With the encouragement and support of our family and friends (you know who you are) we did not have a doubt of this path, and we are proud of what we have been able to achieve as part of this first release.
